The Airtel had already started taking the pre-orders for the 16GB Black version of Apple's iPhone 5. The device is retailing on the Airtel website for Rs. 45,500. The device is listed as being available from 02.11.2012 to ship within 7-8 days.
The iPhone 5 uses the nanoSIM card which is smaller than the microSIM used in many smartphones these days. Operators will start offering nano SIM cards for the iPhone 5 across the country.
The iPhone 5 have a 4-inch Retina display screen with a 1136x640 resolution, 8MP iSight camera with LED flash and a 1.2MP front camera.
The smartphone has Black and White variants in 16/32/64 GB capacities and it is powered by an A6 chip and comes with the iOS 6. Apple has also introduce a new Lightning connector on the device replacing the earlier universal dock connector.
